That afternoon, a large cloud stood motionless for a few hours on the pointed roofs of Zhouzhuang. I Ming was strolling near the large pond, entertained by the sheet of an old comic book taken from the garbage. And perhaps it was this, or perhaps his great blue hat, that led I Ming to cross the pond over its waters, before the eyes of two or three astonished witnesses.
